I don’t know about you but the time change is kicking my butt. Don’t get me wrong, I love, love, love that it is still light out past 5:00pm, but I’m still having a hard time rolling out of bed in the morning. Anyhoo…
Last week we spent with my family in Clarksville, Tennessee. It is about 30 miles northwest of Nashville on the border of Kentucky. And no, we didn’t take the Last Train to Clarksville and yes, it is that Clarksville. The week was jammed packed with family activities. I wasn’t as great this trip about taking pictures (sorry Mom, sorry Nana), but I did manage to get a few cute ones.
Noah loves him some Pa. My step-dad had two shadows that week: his dog Libby and Noah. I don’t think he minded one bit.
Noah’s new thing that he thinks is so silly is that he adds the word “cheese” after everything. So, we get a lot of Mommy-Cheese, Pa-Cheese, Daddy-Cheese, Mo-Cheese. It’s silly I know, but he thinks it’s hilarious. Here they are doing Noah-Cheese and Pa-Cheese back and forth to each other.
Noah and his Mo got to read lots of books together and he was able to show her how much of a genius he is. They also colored some Easter eggs which Noah was into a lot more than I thought he would be. He liked choosing which color to dye the eggs and then rolling the egg around in the bowl with the spoon. He was concentrating so hard.
I don’t have a picture of it and man, I wish I did, but Friday evening my sister Katie was the entertainment. She decided to show all of us her dance that she performed back in December (she takes dance at a friend’s studio). Noah was mesmerized and Katie tried to show him some dance moves – the cutest thing ever!!!
Libby made sure to get her snuggle time in with Noah too. They have a love/hate relationship for sure. But Libby is really sweet with him.
My Nana and Pa got to hang out with Noah for a while too offering to babysit for me for a couple of hours. We got a quick visit in with Aunt Vickie. The other cool thing was meeting up with my cousin who I haven’t seen since we were teenagers. We met each other’s spouses and let the kids meet and play! So, so cool!
Back to the grind this week! It is a whopper of a week, but come Friday I should have a pretty easy work schedule for a while. Thank goodness!
When you go home for a visit, do you tend to do the same stuff or always try to change it up? I tend to do the same thing each time I’m home, but I was just thinking how it might be fun next time to see the city like a tourist.

Glad you had such a good time! Mommy-cheese, daddy-cheese is adorable. I love the stuff kids find hilarious! We tend to do the same things, too. Heading back again in April, I think!
