5 Years!

23 Sep

Saturday was my and Jim’s 5 year Anniversary.

We celebrated by me running the Denver Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon (I killed it, by the way) and Jim ran around chasing Noah (trying to keep Noah from killing himself). We went to dinner in downtown Littleton (love) at Cafe Terracotta. Oh my goodness! It was delightful! You must go there if you are in the area. Our good buddy, TD and his kids offered to watch Noah for the night. So cool of him to do that!

Jim bought me a fancy camera (Canon Rebel T3) and I gave him a card and a kiss. I’m a gem, I know.

Just like my mom told me when she first met Jim, as my friend; “You need to grab him. He gets you. I don’t know if you will find someone who gets you like that and still want to be with you.”

She was always super encouraging like this growing up. But, it is true.

Seriously, though. I’m a lucky girl.

7 years ago when Jim had more hair and I wore this skirt way too often.

I love the life we share.

When I look at all we have- a happy home, Noah Bear (Stella Nutella too), special memories, and a bright future, I see what an amazing man he is and I’m grateful to call him my husband and my best friend.

Happy Anniversary!

Father’s Day

19 Jun

A great start to a Happy 1st Father’s Day!

Snuggle time with pops

Noah and I took Jim to brunch at Landsdowne Arms Pub, a local Irish Pub that serves a mean Shepherd’s Pie and Guinness. It’s one of Jim’s favorite places to eat and grab a pint. My favorite are their Eggs Benedict. Yum!

We walked around the local Farmer’s Market a bit to walk off a bite or two of our big meal. Plus, Noah was flirting with the women at the different booths.

Noah and I went to Jim’s softball game that afternoon and watched them slaughter the other team. It was brutal: 27-2.

Noah: "My dad's so cool."

Noah: "I'm so proud of you pops, you did good."

Dinner time came and went and we were still stuffed from our Irish brunch. But, Jim did request the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups for a little snack, so I whipped those up for us. Double Yum! I went to Hot Yoga and came back to see this…

I’d say it was a pretty good day.
